Derek J Wallbridge, affectionately known to his clients & friends as ‘DJ’, has been involved in Real Estate and Business Broking virtually all of his business and professional life and holds Associate Diplomas from the Real Estate Institute of Australia (AREI) and the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AAIC); is a Licensed Real Estate Agent, Licensed Conveyancer, Registered Property Valuer, Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (FREIQ), Accredited Business Broker, Associate of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers (AIBB), Registered Business Valuer (RBV) and a General Builder (SA) and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients and customers. He is the principal of his own business Wallbridge Consulting, based on the Gold Coast since 2001. Derek consults professionally with Benchmark Business Brokers & Valuers as well as LJ Hooker Commercial Gold Coast enabling him to provide the full range of services Benchmark and the L J Hooker comprehensive national networks provide – Commercial & Residential Sales, Leasing, Auctions and Management Services plus Business Broking and Valuations.

His passion is Best Practice marketing & development consultancy & to give world class service, knowledge and assistance to investors, developers & owners on a ‘one on one’ basis; finding and assessing opportunities, overseeing marketing strategies, avoiding pitfalls and providing ongoing management with the client’s strategic goals in mind. He has owned and run successful real estate and business brokerages in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland and is no stranger to L J Hooker. Derek previously owned and ran L J Hooker City Melbourne and PRD Nationwide Runaway Bay & Southport. Derek maintains active client involvement, contacts and strategic alliances throughout the Gold Coast, SE Queensland and North Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

His additional industry involvement over the years has been with various state Real Estate Institutes and the Housing Industry Association (HIA) at board level plus involvement in Community Service including senior positions in Rotary International, the Surf Life Saving Association of Australia, various School and College Boards, Foundations, Parents Associations and Committees.
