Bruce Coudrey

Bruce Coudrey is the Principal of Benchmark Business & Commercial Sales, and Benchmark Corporate.

Bruce Coudrey started working for himself in 1983, when he started his first Shell service station in Wollongong aged 22. Since then he has owned and operated six Shell service stations, along with several carwashes, a large car detailing business, a Thrifty car rental franchise, and other businesses including outdoor advertising billboards, and an industrial parts cleaning business.Bruce Coudrey has been a Registered Business Valuer since 2009, he is a Certified Practicing Business Broker, and is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Northern Territory.In 1995 Bruce commenced operating as a business broker. Since then he has handled the sale of hundreds of small businesses – and in early 2013 he had completed his 1700th transaction.

Bruce has acted as a court-appointed expert witness on many matters (especially service stations),and he has been engaged in appraising and consulting to many types of small business. Bruce Coudrey is a member of the Australian Institute Of Business Brokers (AIBB), the International Business Brokers Association, and the Real Estate Institute of Queensland. For many years now Bruce has been an active member of the AIBB State and National executive committees, and he established and oversees the AIBB Education, Training and Professional Development Committee. Bruce is often asked to speak to business groups, and is an accredited workplace trainer. He works in all markets sectors across the country. In 2010 Bruce was awarded the AIBB President Medal – and at that time he was only the second recipient of that recognition.
